Miami Shores Village
Located just north of downtown Miami, between
I-95 and Biscayne Bay, it is a great place for raising
a family, doing business, and enjoying life. Miami Shores
is a great community, with interesting shops, an outstanding
recreational program, fine schools, and beautiful churches.
Many of the 10,380 residents participate in local clubs
and organizations that work to insure the continued quality
of the community. Local government is responsive to the
concerns of both local residents and businesses.
There are three distinct commercial and business areas in Miami
Shores Village. You'll find almost everything you need here,
too.

NE 2nd Avenue in downtown Miami Shores is set for an exciting
makeover, with construction slated to start in during 2004.
Sidewalks will be nearly doubled in size, with new, lush
landscaping, benches, attractive lighting and an exciting
decor. For the street, we'll be utilizing a special "Hybrid
Alternative" with two lanes in each direction during
peak hours and the outside lane converted to parking during
non-peak evening and weekend hours. We're looking forward
to a pedestrian friendly downtown!
